Question:  Anyone have any "tricks" for treating scratches in window glass?  My driver side window has several scratches where the glass used to slide across the worn out stripping in the door.  I want to attempt a repair job before going out and buying new glass.  I'd be content if I could just reduce the appearance of the scratches, if not remove them completely.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.  Mike H.

Answer:  If you can grab the scratch with your finger nail it usually can not be buffed out.

Answer:  You can buy in supermarkets cleaner and polisher for ceramic stove tops (the flat top ones with the heating elements covered by a dark glass sheet). This contains a very fine abrasive mixed into a paste, and is ideal for polishing out scratches in glass. Some are better than others...
